Professional background

Since 1994, Sandra Beauchesne has practiced in the field of intellectual property, and more specifically in patents. For more than 10 years, Ms. Beauchesne worked in a multinational telecommunications company where she implemented a patent process, built and trained a patent group responsible for evaluating and protecting inventions, and managed a major patent portfolio used in licensing and litigation. Before joining BCF, Ms. Beauchesne worked in another law firm in Montre

Her expertise includes drafting and prosecuting patent applications in Canada and abroad, preparing infringement opinions, validity opinions, and due diligence. Ms. Beauchesne also assists clients in the creation and the management of the patent portfolio and related budget, with the implementation of a patent process, and in the realignment of patent portfolios.

Ms. Beauchesne handles mostly inventions in the following technologies: telecommunications, software, optics, medical apparatuses, electronics, electricity, and mechanics.
