Professional background
Born in Montreal in 1946, Pierre Dozois completed his studies at Collège Stanislas de Montréal, the Faculty of Law of Université de Montréal and Harvard Business School.
A partner in a large law firm as of 1978, he joined BCF in 1997 to lead its commercial law practice and to co-head the firm's Securities Group. Having the benefit of more than 40 years of experience in several business law fields, his current practice is mainly focused on mergers and acquisitions and on public and private financing.
Mr. Dozois likes to think of his practice as not being limited simply to law. He also acts as an advisor to the management of many of the firm’s clients.
Involvement
Since the start of his career, Mr. Dozois has been a member of a great number of boards of directors of corporations and non-profit and charitable organizations. He has been a director and president of Club St-Denis de Montréal and of Fondation de l’Hôpital Notre-Dame de Montréal. He is now a director and member of the Executive Committee of Fondation du Centre hospitalier universitaire de Montréal (CHUM).
