Professional background

Marianne Desrochers joined BCF’s Montreal office during the summer of 2010. She completed her law degree at the Université de Sherbrooke and will attend the École de Barreau du Québec in 2011. She will complete her articling in the summer of 2012.

During her studies, Ms. Desrochers participated in a mock trial, leading to her nomination for the Maurice-Delorme prize for the most distinguished pleader. She was also a teaching assistant, leading first year students at the Université de Sherbooke in their legal research methods course during the fall of 2010. During the winter 2011 term, she prepared the material for a new course to be taught at the Faculty of Law at this university.

Having worked principally in Quebec commercial arbitration, she intends to expand her practice to include corporate and tax law.
