He practices in the areas of commercial and corporate law, particularly in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance transactions (such as venture capital, private placements and public financing), and applied intellectual property law for businesses (emerging, growing or well-established) involved mainly in the field of high technology in Canada and abroad in the service and manufacturing sectors. Daniel has been extensively involved in many transactions, including structuring, reorganizations, financing from private and public capital sources, strategic alliances, outsourcings, negotiating and documenting the terms of numerous mergers and acquisitions, acting for publicly traded and privately held Canadian and foreign companies and handling general corporate issues. Daniel is listed in the 2010 edition of The Best Lawyers in Canada, in the Technology Law category.
