The second issue of the BCF Arbitration Reporter is dedicated to the enforcement and annulment of arbitral awards in Canada. Éric Ouimet and Frédéric Côté discuss the UNCITRAL Model Law adoption process by the provinces and at the federal level, comment on the differences among the enforcement and annulment regimes which were created in consequence, and identify their practical impacts. The authors also address the differences in the treatment by Canadian courts or arbitral awards as opposed to foreign judgments. [PDF]
