BCF is pleased to announce that tax lawyer Héléna Gagné has joined its Wealth Protection team.

Héléna is a methodical and passionate lawyer who advises clients on a wide variety of issues related to Canadian taxation. She has extensive experience with corporate tax planning and both estate and personal planning, and works with our wealthy clients to implement tax strategies and optimization structures in order to accumulate or transfer wealth. She regularly advises trustees and directors about their duties and is also consulted regarding corporate reorganizations and wealth protection strategies.

Héléna lectured on tax law at HEC Montréal until 2016 and today teaches corporate reorganization for the Association de planification fiscale et financière (APFF). Very involved with her peers, she regularly speaks at conferences and writes articles for specialized publications. A prominent young tax lawyer, Héléna joins a team that includes some of the best experts in Quebec in tax planning, estate planning and wealth protection.

A member of the Barreau since 2011, she is actively involved in her community and donates her time to the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation, the Young Canadians in Finance and the APFF, which is proof of the values of solidarity she espouses. Héléna holds an LL.M. in Tax Law from HEC, completed advanced courses offered by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and is currently studying in a program offered by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Before joining BCF, Héléna worked in a national law firm for over 3 years and also practised tax law at a leading professional services firm in Montréal.
