Philippe Therias is joining the BCF intellectual property and patents team

Thursday, May 25th 2017 - BCF is proud to announce that Philippe Therias will join the BCF intellectual property (IP) group as a correspondent based in Paris at Bignon Lebray, a firm associated with our affiliate network Meritas. Philippe is an engineer and a law school graduate, with additional training in IP law, European IP litigation, and mediation. He will be admitted to the Paris Bar in July. Over the years, he has expanded his practice to all facets of IP law in three countries (Canada, France and the USA), particularly in relation to aerospace and information technology.

As a registered patent and trademark representative at the European and French offices, Philippe has worked as in-house Counsel for IBM, Airbus, Alcatel Lucent, and most recently for ALE International. As a business advisor, Philippe also specializes in both the preventative side of corporate counseling, through internal processes and contracting, as well as in conflict resolution through contract negotiation.

He brings with him a wealth of transversal experience serving companies of all sizes and nationalities facing IP issues in Europe.
