An important commercial mission for the entrepreneurs of Femmes Alpha

August 29th, 2016

As part of an economic mission to Paris and Nantes last June 13th to 23rd, two co-founders of the group known as Femmes Alpha were able to develop strategic partnerships and connect with numerous influential players in France’s digital economy. The challenges related to the place for women in the entrepreneurial world and especially in the digital economy are at the heart of the development vision of Viviane Graillon and Joëlle Boutin, who have both been working for many years in Quebec’s City’s digital ecosystem.

Their participation on the women’s panel at the Web2Day in Nantes and their numerous meetings during this mission were designed to make more room for women entrepreneurs in the digital ecosystem and especially to build bridges between influential stakeholders in France and Quebec in this industry. The partnership they signed with Femmes du Digital Ouest and their meeting with France’s Minister of State for Digital Affairs, Axelle Lemaire, speak volumes about their leadership.

BCF’s contribution to Femmes Alpha’s mission is a logical consequence of the model our firm seeks to promote for men and women entrepreneurs in Quebec. Active since November 2014, Femmes Alpha is a digital community and medium that brings together men and women of influence who believe in the importance of female leadership in the French-speaking business world. Among other things, they have organized numerous networking events as well as seminars on this issue. BCF is proud to support such initiatives that are so promising for Quebec’s economy.
