BCF WELCOMES THREE NEW PARTNERS TO ITS RANKSJanuary 23rd, 2015
BCF Business Law is extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Brigitte Nepveu, Julie Lavigne and Ilya Kalnish as new partners with the firm.
Brigitte Nepveu has been practicing for more than twelve years at BCF in intellectual property and business, corporate/commercial law. While having developed an expertise in the field of life sciences over the years, she also represents and advises companies in various sectors in the context of mergers and acquisitions and venture capital financing files. She also assists her clients with their commercial transactions.
Julie Lavigne was hired by BCF in 2001 as an articling student and has worked her way up to become a lawyer in tax, commercial and corporate law. She specializes in estate and tax planning, advising clients wishing to protect their assets, optimize their tax situation, purchase or sell a business as well as plan the transfer of their wealth to the next generation. Ms. Lavigne also has extensive knowledge in the fields of mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and the drafting of shareholders’ agreements.
Ilya Kalnish joined BCF’s office in July 2013. He is a registered patent agent (Canada), as well as a registered trade-mark agent (Canada and US). He has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications before Canadian, US, European and various other patent offices. He has provided patent advice in M&A deals, as well as licensing and other commercial transactions. He has also provided international IP due diligence support to both buyers and sellers.
Combining expertise, passion, creativity and professionalism, Ms. Nepveu, Ms. Lavigne and Mr. Kalnish work tirelessly for the benefit of BCF’s clients and will remain important ambassadors for the firm.
