CEFRIO Launches a Governance and IT Guide with BCF
This guide, freely available on the website of the Francophone Centre for the Computerization of Organizations (CEFRIO), aims to give provide board members with the information and practical tools that they need to properly address IT-related matters. It was prepared in collaboration with BCF (Daniel Paul and Serge LeBel), the Corporate Directors’ College (Collège des administrateurs de sociétés), the Montreal Computer Research Centre (Centre de recherche informatique de Montréal), the Information Security Institute (Institut de la sécurité de l’information), consulting firm DMR (a Fujitsu corporation) and the Flight Plan corporation (Plan de vol). CEFRIO’s mission is to help organizations boost their productivity and contribute to the well-being of citizens through the use of information technology as a level for change and innovation. Neuralitic Systems raises $7 million with Vertex Venture Capital, BDC Venture Capital and Go Capital Fund
Neuralitic Systems, the Montreal-based firm that provides ground-breaking data services analytics to network operators and communication service providers, announced today it has secured its expansion plans, an initiative bolstered by major investments of $7 million led by Vertex Venture Capital with the participation of the existing investors, BDC Venture Capital and GO Capital L.P. Edmonton to be site of world’s first industrial scale municipal waste-to-ethanol facility
Edmonton will be home to the world’s first industrial scale facility to produce biofuels from municipal solid waste. The City has signed a 25-year agreement with GreenField Ethanol, Canada’s largest ethanol producer and Enerkem, a leading biofuels technology company and BCF’s client. The $70 million biofuels facility will initially produce 36 million litres of biofuels per year and reduce Alberta’s carbon dioxide (CO2) footprint by more than 6 million tonnes over the next 25 years. Isacsoft Inc. and BriseboisCo, a company controlled by Ronald Brisebois, the President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Isacsoft announced today that they have entered into a preamalgamation agreement pursuant to which BriseboisCo has agreed to enter into an amalgamation with Isacsoft. Prevtec Microbia Launches its Vaccine in Canada
Prevtec Microbia, one of BCF’s clients, launched a vaccine last December aimed at protecting piglets from diseases that may develop after their weaning.
