Recent trends in civil liability

This seminar will analyze three (3) current topics dealing with civil liability. The following topics will be addressed:
- injury to one's reputation, particularly within the context of new technologies;
- punitive damages, particularly the conditions for obtaining punitive damages and the criteria for assessing such damages;
- improper procedures (articles 54.1 and following C.C.P.), particularly the concepts of abuse of process, appearance of abuse of process and the remedies available to litigators.
Foreign workers program
The program specifically developed for certain foreign workers employed in the field of information technology has ended on February 23 2012, which entails that such foreign workers occupying one of the 7 concerned professions will no longer be able to benefit from an exemption of the Labour Market Opinion.
